so…let’s talk about the richard nixon library

I have to say, the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, is stunning. The grounds are beautiful and include a rose garden, reflecting pool, and the small home that was Nixon’s  birthplace. The beautiful indoor event space is a recreation of the White House East Room with high ceilings, chandeliers, etc.

Gaby and Adrian’s request was that I edit their photos with some in black & white, and others a palette a little moodier/darker than what I’d call “true color.” Happy to oblige!

Here’s the stunning bride, Gaby, securing her veil.IMG_1192-3The ceremony was at a church in Yorba Linda.IMG_1324-3The guys being guys at the Library.IMG_1126-3S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G.IMG_1245-2I love this shot.IMG_1442-3The white clapboard background, with the little pop of flower color in the lower left, makes this shot!IMG_1429-3IMG_1456-3This image makes me smile every time I look at it. The low angle makes it look like Adrian’s jumping even higher than he actually was. Killing it!IMG_1468-3IMG_1475-3Sweet first dance as husband and wife.IMG_1577-3IMG_1655-2Okay, so let’s talk about how I nailed the bouquet aloft 🙂IMG_1694-2

Gabriella + Adriel Reception at Nixon Library

I know what you’re thinking … these are professional models.  Well, they aren’t! I included a photo of the entire wedding party to prove it 🙂 What a joy to play a role in Gabby and Adriel’s beautiful wedding day.

The ceremony was at the Calvary Chapel in Yorba Linda, with reception following at The Richard Nixon Library. It was my first time shooting there, but it’s long been on my ‘hot list’.  Well worth the wait! The grounds are spectacular and the ballroom unparalleled. It’s a replica of the East Room at the White House with beautiful mantels, chandeliers, artwork, and lots of paneling and detail on the walls. No standard ballroom there!

What a wonderful day and so many incredible images … it was difficult to select just a few to share. Enjoy!
